The Journey Begins: My Road to the World Triathlon Championships

I am incredibly excited to be kicking off this new series here on the Wellness On Shore blog — and to share the next chapter of what has already been an amazing journey in the sport of triathlon.

In October 2025, I will be representing Team Australia at the World Triathlon Championships in Wollongong, NSW, my home state and for the first time, I will be aiming to take on three races across five days:

  • Standard Distance
  • Sprint Distance
  • Mixed Team Relay

It is going to be a massive physical and mental challenge and one I am hugely motivated to prepare for properly.

That is why I am so proud to be partnering with Wellness On Shore to support my build-up to race week. In fact, the team here have already been a crucial part of my qualification campaign this past season, helping me stay strong, mobile and resilient through the ups and downs of the process.

This series is about much more than just swim, bike, run. Like many of you, I am balancing the demands of training with real life; family, career, and all the moving parts that come with it. Alongside my racing goals, I am also the founder of a tech startup, Mindsight AI, so life is very very full and that makes the right approach to wellness and recovery absolutely essential.

Through this blog, I want to give an authentic view of how a holistic approach to training, strength, recovery and mindset can support not just athletic performance, but life performance too. I hope it will resonate with anyone looking to move better, feel better, and thrive, whether you are chasing a personal best or simply trying to stay active and energised.

Already, the team at Wellness On Shore have played a huge role:

  • Tailored PT sessions helping build core strength and mobility
  • Mindset support to help manage the load of training, running a business, and family life

Over the coming months, I will be sharing more about the practical things we are doing, what is working (and what is not!), and the lessons I am learning along the way.
👉 Keep an eye out here for future blog posts to drop, we will be documenting the full road to Wollongong together.
I am really looking forward to sharing the journey, and hopefully inspiring a few others along the way!
